Crossgate Church plans for permanent church home

After more than a year of prayer, hard work, conversation and committee meetings, the Crossgate Building committee unveiled plans for a new church building to be built on 15 acres across Hwy. 188 from OCA.
The design developed by Rob Seel of RMS Architecture is a clean, modern design of brick, stone, metal and glass with a distinctive bell tower—a 21st Century Craftsman style that presents a progressive image while respecting its setting and traditional heritage.
The bell tower, also part of Crossgate’s new logo, is intended to be an example of Crossgate lifting up the cross of Christ in this community so that more and more people will have the opportunity to know and enjoy God.
Pastor Tom Musselman explains, “Our building campaign does not change the way we do things as a church. Our commitment to disciple men and women and children—to lead them to maturity in Christ so that they might experience the reality of the resurrected Christ—remains intact. A facility will only mean expanded opportunities to make Christ known in this community and around the world—to see more people exposed to the truth of the Gospel of Christ and be transformed by it—and to bring greater glory to our God as we exalt His name and magnify the riches of His grace.”
The Crossgate congregation has received budget information and over the next few weeks they will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide input as the building comittee members meet with individual Focus Groups. If you did not receive a packet or would like more information, please call Pastor Tom Musselman at (864) 886-8005
October 7 will be commitment Sunday when the congregation will be asked to turn in their commitment cards. And on Saturday, October 6 there will be a prayer service on the property at 6 PM.
